NEVER CHANGING FOREIGN POLICY AND THE WAR
How quickly we have surrendered to the logic of war while talking diplomacy, dialogue and moderation. The responsibility lies with the political elite that keeps murmuring about the same old clichés of a non-existing world. There are foreign policy positions of Turkey reminiscent of military fortifications. These are at the very foundations of the Republic and were thought as definite answers to the problems inherited from the Ottoman era: The Armenian, Greek and Kurdish questions. TURKEY: A KURDISH QUESTION MARK
For a very long time Turkey has learned to play the card of the country at the crossroads, a country between east and west, between Christians and Muslims, a country between Europe and Asia. Turkey has often been neutral but has been equally often playing the game of both sides also. They are pro-Palestinian and, at the same time, they sign military treaties with Israel. They want to be full members of the EU often using blackmails and opportunistic games and they like to be big brother to the middle Asian and other Muslim countries. LES FAUCONS DE LA LIBERTE DU KURDISTAN OU LES SANGLIERS DU DESESPOIR
Mon fils est rentré de vacances… passées en Turquie. Et j’en suis heureux. Non pas parce que revenir d’Anatolie relève de l’exploit mais parce que lorsque votre enfant se retrouve hébergé dans un hôtel proche des derniers attentats, forcément, vous n’avez pas l’esprit tranquille. Surtout lorsque vous appelez son hôtel, tout sauf un hôtelier vous répond. Que vous avez beau cherchez un autre numéro sur Internet, cela s’apparente à Mission Impossible I, II ou III, le succès en fin de mission en moins. Merci les tours opérateurs et l’agence de voyage à l’origine de la prestation… Appelée elle aussi et qui, pour toute réponse, vous indique qu’elle n’a pas le droit de vous communiquer les coordonnées de l’établissement !

TURQUIE : LE TOURISME VISE PAR DES ATTENTATS
(Par JEROME BASTION / Source RFI – France, correspondance depuis Istanbul) En frappant l’un des centres touristiques les plus prisés de Turquie, les terroristes cherchaient bien à tuer, et visaient particulièrement des touristes étrangers. Sur la côte méditerranéenne, Marmaris est en effet, avec Bodrum, Kusadasi, Fethiye et Didymes, une des destinations préférées des vacanciers anglo-saxons, adeptes de stations balnéaires à petit budget où la vie nocturne est animée. En plaçant un sac piégé sous le fauteuil d’un minibus faisant la navette entre la vieille ville, sur le port, où sont situés l’essentiel des restaurants et des bars, et les hôtels, ils étaient sûr de frapper bon nombre de ces visiteurs européens qui rapportent tant de devises à la Turquie. Sur les 13 blessés de cette première explosion survenue à minuit, l’heure où l’on commence à rentrer se coucher, 10 étaient des ressortissants britanniques.
